Drinking Coffee is My Community

I chose to choose my community blog posting for the piece that illustrates my awareness of audience and voice. I wrote about how Starbucks is a community to many different people around the world. I was writing to an audience who is interested in the community of Starbucks. Many people can relate to going to Starbucks, “It is a place where total strangers can sit down and talk over a cup of coffee and not feel totally awkward” like I mentioned in my piece. When considering who was going to read this I chose to make the writing a bit more fun. Since this is a blog I kept the piece a little less serious. While reading this I think I made Starbucks sound like a positive community. This could challenge my audience to go sit in a Starbucks or go try a cup of their coffee. I think doing this blog made me realize that there is more to a community then just those that you live next too. Communities are all around us in all different shapes and sizes. Doing blog writings made me realize that writing can be fun if you put a twist into it.
